| The Installation meeting of Aeon Mark 1312 holds its Installation Meeting on the fourth Thursday of October. This year, the Master elect, Dave Stewart, was sadly taken ill a few days prior to the meeting and following a short stay in hospital, although discharged, couldn’t be with us on the day. |
| Not deterred by such matters, Aeon went ahead and held their meeting at which everything was carried out by W.Bro. Dave Winder, on the assumption that, in time, we would complete the ceremony and Install Bro. Dave Stewart at the earliest opportunity. |
| That opportunity came on Tuesday the 14th November, when the brethren turned out again in good numbers to witness Dave, install Dave in the expectations that it would be done in fine form. |

| They were not disappointed, we witnessed, in the presence of the Deputy Grand Master, VW Bro. Geoffrey Lee, PGJO, at superb ceremony, that had ‘obviously’ benefited greatly from the extra couple of weeks in the learning curve. That sounds uncharitable, but Dave Winder has known me a long while and he knows just how its meant! |
| Following the very short meeting we all retired to a festive board, worthy of Aeon’s reputation as a dinning lodge. This was held In Bentleys Restaurant due to the hall being fully booked. |
| The toasts and replies were not long, but they were very sincere, and reflected what a happy occasion had been had by all. |
| The whole occasion was enhanced by the presence of W.Bro. Steve Walls, P.G.A.D.C. Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, who did a cracking job, with a good sense of humour!! Well Done Steve. |
